Recent updates

I have finally found time to update my last two product review posts.  Keep in mind that I am by no means an expert.  Just a guy that had some extra money and was in the right place at the right time to get a good deal on these parts.  I also happened to know a number knowledgeable people who recommended these to me.

Trimming the fat…

I’ve been considering this for a while now and tonight I went through and deleted the posts which involve my profession.  However I did copy those posts to a different blog.  The reason I came to this decision was to separate work and play.  Later this month I am moving to a city that is known for being predominantly liberal.  Sadly, because of that, I have a slight fear that my firearm posts could adversely affect my career.  I’m still a Life Member in the NRA and will be shooting regularly.  I will continue posting on here as well.

My upcoming move is for a new job that I accepted a couple of weeks back.  While starting a new job is exciting I will be losing my firearm discounts and that is sad.  However, I am still waiting on my 1911 and that is very exciting.

Blog setup

I’ve been changing various settings on this blog trying to get it the way I want. But for some reason it’s never quite right. I’ve changed the theme several times and rearranged my sidebar, but still I’m not happy with it. I could host the blog myself and just use the WordPress software but I don’t really want to deal with that. So I guess I’m kind of stuck. Well, I suppose I could also customize my CSS but I don’t want to mess with that and I’m not paying anyone to do it for me. In reality I’m just picky, the canned themes are fine but each one has something I don’t like, oh well!

Finally I’m sorry to anyone who was reading this while I was switching themes, I know that can be annoying. I’ll try to keep it at a minimum in the future. Enjoy!
